  1. I've heard about these too! Why does this interest you? Who would want one of these and why? how are they/could they be used? Does this say anything about society? What are your feelings about these? Can this be related to McCluhan's theories?

  2. It one of wide rang of drones available in the market for individual today but what interested me most in this model is the quality of the design, technology, and system which make it steady and easier for the user to make good footages.
This kind of cameras is use for a various purposes from military usages to photographer and filmmaking.
The advanced technology of connecting them with GPS make it possible to use then for example to save life.
These kind if cameras along side with the phenomenon of the widespread usage of cameras now days are the practical interpretation of McCluhan's theory. This technology " medium" become available and affordable and consequently the way of communication in the society have been changed. The people became sharing almost everything. Their ability of interaction and participation became higher. Individuals became part and in some cases centre of media production.

  4. There are different kinds people can use this technology. The policeman can use it to surveillance especially in the crowd or the large-scale activity.Journalists can use it to live report and synchronous broadcasting.Certainly, film-making. Besides it also can be used by an exploration into unknown territory.for example, space exploration, archaeology which people can't arrive, meanwhile instead of people in an extremely adverse environment, like rainy day.
However, although it has a advanced technology and system, it is not represent it is wanted by anybody, cause ordinary people do not control the flight direction very well.

  5. I think this technology is useful for people working in some specific fields like Catherine has mentioned police, journalism, or filmmaking. For ordinary people, they will consider not because of the controlling ability but because of the prices, unless they are rich and want some entertainment.

  6. True, these are extensions of man, and also extensions of existing photographic technology, but what kind of society do we live in when we can be spied on anonymously by anyone? Do you need a licence to own one? Could I buy one and fly over your back garden watching you sunbathing? Then use the pictures to blackmail you or publish them without your knowledge somewhere? Could I use one to check if there is anyone in your house, what is inside, then plan a robbery? Does this technology scare you? When new technology comes along, new legislation to control how it is used is always slow to be implemented, as the questions it raises are very new.
